In a corner of the studio sat a panda sculpture that mirrored my past struggles, a sombre representation of a time steeped in sadness due to miscarriage. Many years later a new child was born, and this child showed me a new viewpoint. A stuffed panda was brought back from a European conference on a whim, and my son choose to take this as his beloved comfort toy. Seeing this special connection, it showed me a new perspective on the same object. With renewed optimism, I revisited the clay, turning the once melancholic piece into a celebration of joy, security and love. The new artwork, titled "Baby Bear," stood as a testament to my journey, reminding us that art has the power to reshape not only the sculpture but also the emotions that birthed it.
